Made for you,
not from you.

So many apps are cluttered, complicated and built around ads. Ours are simple, useful and built around how people actually get things done. No ads, no selling your data, no haggling, no tricks when you leave.

Why a mountain range?

Named after a place that's kept the way it is.

The Cederberg, about 190 miles north of Cape Town, isn't South Africa's highest range. Its shapes are simple: flat-topped ridges, weathered red rock, wide-open sky. That simplicity is exactly what makes it beautiful, and unlike anywhere else. It has been a protected wilderness area since 1973, and it has stayed that way, whatever else it could have been turned into.

We want our company to work the same way. We're a for-profit business, but we'll never make money by giving up what we stand for: simple, useful apps, kept free of the things that turn software against the people using it.

The mountain and the leopard

Everything we make comes from one contrast: a simple, steady landscape, and the strong, quiet animal that lives in it.

The mountain · how our apps work

Simple, clear, uncluttered

  • No ads, no clutter, no nagging notifications
  • Opens, does the job, gets out of your way
  • Built around how people actually do things

The leopard · how we act

Quiet strength, fierce about value

  • Loud about bloated, overpriced software
  • Says plainly what others won't
  • Never hides what something costs

Red rock under a blue sky. Our colors come from the place itself. Glacier blue keeps things clear. Ember is rare on purpose: on any screen, it marks the one thing that matters.

What you can count on

Six rules every Cederberg app follows. They don't change when an app gets popular.

No ads. Ever.

Nothing in our apps is paid for by advertisers. We answer only to our customers.

Your data isn't for sale

We don't sell or share your personal information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.

Private by design

Our apps work on your device first. Anything we sync is end-to-end encrypted, so only your devices can read it.

No haggling

When something costs money, the price is the price. No teaser rates, no discount games.

Easy to leave

Cancel in a few taps, any time. No hoops, no guilt trips, no last-minute "wait, here's 50% off."

Simple by design

No clutter, no nagging, no tricks to keep you hooked or paying. Open it, do the job, get on with your day.

What we're building

Practical apps for the everyday things that are a pain, each one built to do its job well.

In development

A fasting app for people who live an actual life

Our first app, built around real schedules, real dinners and real weekends. More soon.

More on the way

Every one built the same way: no ads, no haggling, and your data stays yours.
